Solo Exhibition

Do I Make You Uncomfortable?

John Mullins Memorial Gallery

Dogwood Crossing Miles, Queensland

5 April 2025 – 24 May 2025

A statement on how society perceives the behaviours of the neurodivergent by creating feelings of discomfort and misapprehension when viewing a collection of insects and creatures.

Hello

My name is Elise Heather

Elise Heather Designs was born through the undeniable passion I have for creating. I find the act of making something with my hands relaxing, soothing and spiritual. I believe it to be, not only a passion, but an obsession of sorts. My need to create soon blossomed into a hobby, then a business, then my life.

My craft is entirely self taught. I was able to teach myself through play and experimentation to develop my own techniques. It seemed to come very naturally to me as I intertwined materials to create some of my first pieces. I truly enjoy what I do and strive every day to bring art to others through making and teaching.
